Equipment

Ingredients

  • Flatbread
  • Tomato sauce
  • Dried oregano
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil optional

Instructions

  • Take the flatbread and make sure it will fit in your air fryer basket. If not, slice it with a knife or pizza cutter.
  • Spread tomato sauce onto the flatbread.
  • Sprinkle dried oregano onto the tomato sauce.
  • Add as much mozzarella cheese as you like.
  • Place in the air fryer basket and cook at 390 degrees F for 4 minutes, checking at the 3 minute mark for doneness.
  • Remove from the air fryer, slice if desired, and top with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

Measurements are not given in this recipe, because the amount of tomato sauce, cheese, and toppings is completely up to you. Some people like more sauce, some people like more cheese.

  • The flatbread can cook quickly in the air fryer. Check around the 3 minute mark, but it may take up to 5 minutes, depending on the type of flatbread used and also your air fryer.
  • Note that the more toppings you add, the heavier your flatbread will be! That might be okay with something like pita or naan bread, but with thinner flatbreads, that will make it a little harder to pick up to eat.
  • All air fryers cook differently. Check frequently for doneness.
  • This recipe is best served right away. I don't recommend storing and reheating for later.
