- 1 pear
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Wash and dry pear, then slice in half, core and remove any seeds.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and mix together.
Add ½ of melted butter to each pear halve. Place in the air fryer basket and air fry for 2-3 minutes at 350 degrees F until butter starts to melt.
Brush melted butter over the surface of the pear. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the surface of each pear (you may have extra).
Air fry for an additional 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees F, or until pear is tender when pierced with a fork.
Plate and enjoy.
- Using ripe pears works best, as they soften nicely and cook a little more quickly.
- Want to double the recipe? Make 2 air fryer baked pears at a time if your air fryer basket allows.
- If you prefer, you can use less butter or melt the butter prior in a small dish, and then just brush it on.
- Try to keep the pear halves the same size. This way they will both cook a similar time in the air fryer and one won't be thicker than the other.
- All air fryers cook differently. Check frequently for doneness and understand you may need to use more or less time depending on your air fryer and how large your pear is.
