- ¼ cup butter (4 tablespoons), room temperature
- 1 teaspoon calabrian chili paste
- salt optional
Bring the butter to room temperature.
Place the butter in a small bowl and mash with a fork until softened.
Add the calabrian chili paste to the butter (and salt, if using), and mash with the fork until completely combined.
Use as desired.
- Make sure the butter is room temperature before trying to mash. If the butter is too cold, you won't be able to incorporate the chili paste in properly.
- If you want the butter a little spicier, you can add more chili paste to the butter, but taste before adding more! A little calabrian chili paste goes a long way.
- You can use salted or unsalted butter to make this recipe. If using unsalted butter, you may want to add a touch of salt to the butter.
