Ingredients

  • 1 banana yellow, not too ripe
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon butter
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • oil optional
  • whipped cream, ice cream, other toppings optional

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Use a fork or your hands to work the butter into the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Brush or spray air fryer basket with oil or use air fryer parchment paper.
  • Peel a banana and slice in in half. Place in the air fryer basket face up.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar mixture on the banana.
  • Air fry for 6 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • Carefully lift banana out of the air fryer and plate.
  • Top with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, nuts, fruit, or whatever else you would like to top your banana split with. Enjoy!

Notes

  • As noted, it's better to use a yellow banana that is firmer when making the air fryer banana split.
  • Be careful when removing the banana from the air fryer. If it breaks in half, just put it back together on the plate before topping with the ice cream.
