Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 leeks only the white and light green parts
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Chop the dark green section off of the leeks so that you' only have the light green and white sections remaining. Discard the dark green section.
  • Chop the white and light green parts of the leeks into rounds about ½ inch thick. Place in a bowl of water.
  • Swish the leeks around in the bowl of water, separating any layers as needed to remove the dirt in between layers. Rinse the leeks, then dry on paper towels.
  • Add leeks to a bowl, then add the olive oil, thyme, and salt. Toss to combine.
  • Place in the air fryer and air fry for 7-10 minutes at 400 degrees F, tossing every few minutes, until leeks are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • Remove from air fryer and enjoy as desired.

Notes

  • All air fryers cook differently, and cook times may depend on how much oil/how much your leeks are separated. Start checking around the 6 minute mark for doneness.
  • To make more crispy frizzled leeks, separate the layers of the leeks and add a little extra oil before air frying. Watch carefully so they don't burn.
