Air Fryer Parmesan Tomatoes
Air Fryer Parmesan Tomatoes are a delicious and tasty way to eat tomatoes. The tomato slices get perfectly roasted while the cheese gets bubbly and golden in the air fryer.
- 1 tomato large
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
- basil leaves optional
Slice your tomato into thick slices. Spread the slices out on a cutting board.
Drizzle the olive oil over the slices. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper.
Grate the parmesan cheese, then top the tomato slices with the cheese.
Carefully add the tomato slices to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook at 380 degrees F for 10 minutes, checking frequently for doneness.
Remove from the air fryer and top with fresh basil leaves.
- I used parchment paper to keep my tomatoes from sticking, but if you're putting them directly in the basket, you'll want to spray or brush the basket with oil to keep it from sticking.
- All air fryers cook differently. Watch your tomatoes closely and check often to get to the perfect level of cheesy doneness!
- For this recipe I used one large tomato, but if you're using roma or campari tomatoes, you may wind up using two. This recipe is also easy to double or triple! Just make sure to put the tomatoes in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
