Air Fryer Greek Chickpeas
These crispy chickpeas are cooked in the air fryer and inspired by Greek flavors. The result is delicious, lemony chickpeas that can be enjoyed in so many ways from salads to just eating as a snack.
- 15 oz canned chickpeas
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 lemon
- black pepper
Drain and rinse your chickpeas. Add to a medium-large bowl.
Add your olive oil, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to the bowl. Toss to combine.
Add chickpeas to your air fryer basket. Air fry for 12-15 minutes as 390 degrees F, shaking every few minutes.
While chickpeas are cooking, zest the lemon.
Once chickpeas are crispy, remove from air fryer. Plate, then season with any additional salt and pepper and top with fresh lemon zest.
- All air fryers cook differently. Make sure to check frequently for doneness! You want the chickpeas crunchy and to have a good bite, but not burnt.
- The chickpeas do get softer when added to a salad and tossed with dressing, so if eating on a salad, add on top rather than tossing together with the rest of the ingredients.
- Make sure to only zest the yellow part of the lemon.
