This recipe for chia seed lemonade (chia fresca) is healthy and delicious! The chia seeds add a fun texture to the water. Add a bit of sweetener to make it more like lemonade, or leave the sweetener out to make more of a chia seed lemon water. Both are delicious!

Into a glass or glass jar, add the water. Then add the chia seeds and juice from half a lemon.
Add the sweetener, if desired.
Stir, then put in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to infuse and allow the chia seeds to plump up.
After 30 minutes, remove from the refrigerator and stir once more to combine before drinking.
Recommended sweeteners include honey, maple syrup, and agave syrup. If vegan, do not use honey.
