Sesame Rice
This sesame rice is cooked with water and sesame oil for a flavorful take on rice. It's an easy way to add more flavor to your rice and elevate it!

- 1 cup white rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- salt optional
To a medium pot add the water and sesame oil. Heat to boiling.
Add the rice and stir to combine. Turn down heat to low. Cook rice according to the package directions (for us that means 20 minutes).
Once rice is cooked, let sit for 5 minutes. Uncover and fluff with a fork.
Use as desired.
Recipe notes:
Different kinds of rice cook differently. We typically use plain white rice. If you're using brown rice, jasmine rice, etc., make sure to look at the package directions on how to cook. Just add in the sesame oil with the water and then cook the rice according to the package directions.
