Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 lemons
  • 4 chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine the oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Add the olive oil and juice from two lemons. Stir together to form the marinade.
  • Take your chicken thighs and either place in the bowl or in a plastic ziplock bag. Toss with the marinade to make sure chicken is coated. Place the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes but up to 2 hours to marinade.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • Add the chicken thighs, skin side down, in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes at 380 degrees F. After 10 minutes, flip the chicken thighs and cook for an additional 8-12 minutes, depending on the size of your chicken thighs, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  • Remove from the air fryer, let rest for five minutes, then plate, and enjoy!

Notes

Chicken thighs come in all different sizes! We've found that cooking for 10 minutes on one side and 10 minutes on the other side work well for the size we typically use, however if you're using smaller or bigger chicken thighs, it may not work perfectly for you.
To test to see if your chicken thighs are properly cooked, get a meat thermometer, stick it into the thickest part of the thigh and make sure that temp reaches 175-180 degrees F. Easy, and you make sure your chicken thighs are properly cooked and safe to eat.
