Chia seed green tea is a fun way to add seeds and texture to regular iced green tea. Add lemon slices or customize however you like to add additional flavors to your tea. This is a refreshing drink any time of year, as an afternoon treat or to enjoy with lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups green tea iced
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • ice
  • lemon slices optional

Instructions

  • Measure out 2 cups iced green tea into a container that will fit into your refrigerator. (I just use my measuring cup).
  • Add your chia seeds and stir for 30 seconds until combined and most of the chia seeds have sunk to the bottom of your container.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing the chia seeds to bloom.
  • To a glass, add ice. Pour the chia seed green tea over the ice. Add lemon slices and stir to combine.
