Zara turned a month old last week!
How has this first month been? Pretty great, but pretty busy. The days and nights all seem to blend together. I constantly find myself wondering what day of the week is it.
As I am writing this, it’s 11:30 am, I’m in my pajamas still, drinking coffee, and realizing I won’t get a break to shower until after 1 pm at the earliest.
But it’s all SO worth it. Zara is doing great. She’s starting to have her eyes open a lot more, looking around without crying. She has also started to want to cuddle after being fed, which just makes my heart burst and say “OKAY, CUDDLE FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT.” She LOVES her changing table and her carseat. She likes going for walks and being in her stroller. We’ve taken her out on walks through our neighborhood, to HEB, Costco, Target, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and to her pediatrician. She’s been over to her cousins’ house. She’s facetimed with her grandma who lives several states away.
She dislikes baths and having her clothes changed. She still wears newborn diapers and clothes, but we’re testing out a few 0-3 month outfits, which are still slightly big on her, but should probably fit in the next few weeks. She’s putting on a lot of weight! We can tell she’s getting heavier and chubbier.
We’re excited to see what the next month will bring.
