8ounceschicken breast1 large chicken breast or 2 small chicken breasts
1Tablespoonsriracha
1Tablespoonhoney
½lime
1Tablespoonolive oil
sesame seedsoptional
cilantrooptional
Instructions
Cut the chicken breast(s) into bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch in size.
To a small bowl, add the sriracha, honey, and juice from ½ a lime. Stir to combine.
Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the olive oil to the pan. Once hot, add the chicken pieces in a single layer. Cook on each side for 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the honey sriracha sauce to the pan. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently until sauce thickens and gets sticky and chicken starts to caramelize from the honey.
Serve and enjoy.
Notes
For best results, cook the chicken in the sauce until the sauce starts to get caramelized on the chicken. That provides the sticky sweet sauce with the maximum flavor!
Want a bit more sweetness? You can add a touch more honey or simply drizzle additional honey over the chicken after serving.
To adjust the spice level, add less or more sriracha depending on your preference.
Cleaning tip - If the sticky sauce makes your skillet hard to clean, add a layer of water and heat the pan over medium heat to deglaze your pan. Scrape pan gently with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula to easily remove the sticky sauce.
