Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit large
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • sea salt optional

Instructions

  • Slice your grapefruit in half. (Loosen the segments with a knife, if desired). Remove any large seeds.
  • Place the grapefruit halves face up and sprinkle the brown sugar over the halves.
  • Press the brown sugar into the grapefruit to moisten.
  • Place in your air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 400 degrees F (200 Celsius) for 5-7 minutes, checking frequently.
  • Remove from air fryer basket and let sit for 2-3 minutes to cool down slightly. Sprinkle fresh sea salt on top, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

Cooking tips:
  • I love to either use a grapefruit spoon to eat my grapefruit and/or cut out the segments with a knife prior to adding the sugar. This allows for a much easier time eating the grapefruit! Just go around each segment until it loosens, but leave it in the grapefruit.
  • All air fryers cook differently, you may need to adjust cooking times based on your air fryer.
  • May need more/less brown sugar depending on size of grapefruit.
  • The sea salt is optional, but does add a nice extra flavor and depth to the grapefruit.
