While air fryer preheats, dry cod with paper towels. Drizzle with olive oil and then rub into all surfaces of the cod. Season with salt and pepper.
Sprinkle the smoked paprika and garlic powder onto the cod, using half for each of the large sides. Rub in if needed (to distribute evenly).
Add cod to air fryer basket. Cook at 380 degrees F for 10 minutes.
Remove cod from air fryer and squeeze fresh lemon juice over and add fresh chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
All air fryers cook differently. Cooking times may need to be adjusted according to your air fryer and the thickness of your piece of cod. Fish should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
If you have skin on your cod, remove before seasoning and cooking.
You can use frozen cod, however you should thaw completely before cooking for this recipe.
