oil(canola or avocado) for brushing on air fryer basket
Instructions
Slice each croissant in half lengthwise and set aside.
In a casserole dish large enough for dipping croissants, add the milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk to combine.
Brush or spray the air fryer basket with oil (do this in between cooking each batch of croissants).
Dip 2 croissant halves in egg mixture, flipping so both sides are coated, then place in the air fryer basket cut side up. Air fry at 380 degrees F for 4 minutes, flip, then air fryer an additional 1-2 minutes.
Remove croissant. Repeat with rest of croissant halves until all croissants are dipped in egg mixture and cooked cooked.
Plate, and top as desired.
Notes
Brush the air fryer basket with more oil in between air frying each croissant to keep croissants from sticking to air fryer basket.
All air fryers cook differently. Watch carefully to make sure croissant french toast is cooked to your liking.
These croissants were served with almond whipped cream, blueberries, raspberries, sliced almonds, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
