Air Fryer Croissant French Toast is the perfect way to use flaky croissants. The French toast gets crispy and caramelized in the air fryer. Top with whipped cream and fresh berries for a delicious dessert or breakfast.
Have you ever bought a huge package of croissants? (Maybe from Costco?) And you eat a few, but wonder what you'll do with the rest of them?
I love making air fryer croissant french toast with leftover croissants! The whole family loves them.
My daughter couldn't stop telling me how much she loved me and how much she loved her french toast. All plates are empty after I make these.
You can use Costco croissants or other bakery croissants. And then top with whatever you like! I love mine with whipped cream and berries.
Don't have an air fryer? Make skillet croissant french toast instead.
Ingredients
- Croissants
- Eggs
- Milk - I used whole milk, but you can use almond milk, oat milk, etc.
- Vanilla extract
- Sugar
- Oil (for brushing onto air fryer basket)
- Any toppings you like
Where to find croissants
For this recipe, I used the Costco croissants you can get in their bakery section.
However, you can also use regular grocery store croissants. I do find that the Costco ones can be a little larger, so if using others you may want to use 6 instead of the 4 specified in the recipe.

Customization ideas
The easiest way to customize the french toast is by topping however you like! You can make almond whipped cream, vanilla whipped cream, chocolate whipped cream, cinnamon whipped cream, or even peppermint whipped cream!
And of course, switch up the fruits and nuts if you like. Want a drizzle of chocolate syrup? Go for it!
Want a little brightness to the croissant french toast? Add some lemon zest to the egg mixture!
What to serve with the Croissant French Toast
I love serving the croissant french toast alongside something savory like feta scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs with spinach.
Air fryer twisted bacon is also a favorite of mine, and these air fryer breakfast potatoes are so tasty!
Recipe notes
- Brush the air fryer basket with more oil in between air frying each croissant to keep croissants from sticking to air fryer basket.
- All air fryers cook differently. Watch carefully to make sure croissant french toast is cooked to your liking.
How to make Air Fryer Croissant French Toast
Slice croissants in half lengthwise.
In a casserole dish (big enough for dipping croissants into), add the eggs, milk, vanilla, and sugar.
Whisk until combined.
Brush or spray the air fryer basket with oil. Dip croissant in the egg mixture, then flip, making sure both sides are covered.
Let extra egg mixture drip off the croissant, then place in the air fryer basket cut side up.
Air fry at 380 degrees F for 4 minutes, then flip and air fry an additional 1-2 minutes.
Plate, then serve as desired! I topped mine with whipped cream, berries, maple syrup, and sliced almonds.
Yum.
