Air Fryer Honey Dijon Chicken Breasts are perfect for dinner, or sliced into a salad or on a sandwich. The honey mustard sauce provides a delicious flavor and the air fryer cooks the chicken perfectly.
In a medium bowl, add olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, tarragon, garlic powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
Add chicken breasts to marinade and mix so that chicken is evenly coated. Cover with plastic wrap and set in the fridge to marinade for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours.
Remove chicken from the refrigerator, place in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Air fry at 370 degrees F for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for another 6-9 minutes for smaller breasts (see note below about cooking times).
Once chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F, remove from the air fryer basket and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
The size and thickness of the chicken breast will make a huge different in cook time. A smaller chicken breast may cook in 16-19 minutes, while a large chicken breast may cook between 20-28 minutes. If you do have a large chicken breast, you can slice into two thinner pieces to cut down on cooking time.
Chicken should be cooked until at least 165 degrees F to be safe. Use a meat thermometer to judge if your chicken is properly cooked.
All air fryers cook differently. Adjust cooking time as needed to make sure your chicken is cooked properly.
