Wash and dry peppers. Add the padron peppers and olive oil to a bowl. Toss together until peppers are coated in olive oil.
Add padron peppers to air fryer basket. Air fry at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 5-7 minutes, shaking several times during cooking.
Remove from the air fryer basket, plate, and sprinkle with salt. Serve with lemon or dipping saue if desired.
Notes
Start checking for doneness at the 5 minute mark. To retain some of the "bite" of the peppers, remove at 5 minutes. Otherwise, you can continue cooking until 7 minutes for softer, more roasted padron peppers.
You do not need to preheat the air fryer prior to adding the peppers for this recipe.
All air fryers cook differently. Adjust cooking times as needed.
