Air fryer padron peppers are an easy and delicious appetizer. They cook up in less than 10 minutes in the air fryer. Make these when you want to be transported to Spain eating Spanish tapas!

Alright, sometimes I just want a really delicious snack. One that is low-effort, but still delicious. And maybe, just maybe, transports me somewhere cool.
These air fryer padron peppers do just that. They are ready in less than 10 minutes start to finish. They are delicious. And they make me feel like I'm at a tapas bar in Spain.
If you're not familiar with padron peppers, it's a small pepper from Spain, but most are not spicy! Every once it awhile, you may have one that is more spicy, but most are pretty mild. If you've had shishito peppers, they are similar both in texture and spiciness level.
Ingredients
- Padron peppers
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Lemon (optional)
How to make air fryer padron peppers
Wash and dry padron peppers and add to a bowl with olive oil.
Toss to coat in the olive oil, then add to air fryer basket.
Cook for 5-7 minutes at 400 degrees F, shaking a couple of times while cooking.
Plate, and top with flaky sea salt. Serve with lemons to squeeze over the padron peppers or with your favorite dipping sauce.
Recipe tips
- Start checking for doneness at the 5 minute mark. To retain some of the "bite" of the peppers, remove at 5 minutes. Otherwise, you can continue cooking until 7 minutes for softer, more roasted padron peppers.
- You do not need to preheat the air fryer prior to adding the peppers for this recipe.
- All air fryers cook differently. Adjust cooking times as needed.
