Take 2 slices of bread and rub olive oil onto one side of the bread.
Place bread in the air fryer and cook for 4 minutes at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Peel and slice 1 clove of garlic in half. Rub the cut side onto each slice of toasted bread. Discard the garlic.
Cut a tomato in half and rub the cut side onto each slice of bread, almost "grating" the tomato onto the bread. (See NOTES below for another method)
Drizzle with more olive oil and top with flaky sea salt.
Notes
This recipe works best with slices of a nice crusty bread. I don't recommend using sandwich bread.
This recipe uses the method of rubbing the tomato directly onto the bread. However, some people prefer to grate their tomato into a bowl and then spoon the tomato onto the bread. I've done both and both are delicious.
