Instructions
In a small bowl, add the dijon, olive oil, honey, and smoked paprika. Stir to combine.
Pat the salmon steaks dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper. Spoon the dijon marinade over the salmon steaks, then flip and spoon onto the other side. Let salmon sit while air fryer preheats.
Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Once air fryer has preheated, brush the basket with olive oil. (You could also spray olive oil onto the basket).
Add salmon steaks to the air fryer and cook for 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees F (no flipping needed).
Remove salmon steaks from the air fryer and serve as desired!
Notes
This recipe can be modified to serve 1, simply halve the ingredients. If you want to serve more, simply adjust as needed.
Salmon steaks typically have bones, including a center bone. Make sure to eat around the bones. However, you can eat the skin of salmon steaks if you like.
Salmon should be cooked to a temperature of 145 degrees F to be safe to eat. This recipe should cook salmon steaks to that temperature. However, if you have a very thick salmon steak, make sure to use a meat thermometer to make sure your salmon steak is properly cooked.
