While it can be tempting to add more blue spirulina to your smoothie to intensify the blue flavor, only 1 teaspoon (or 4 grams) of spirulina is recommended daily.
Unless you have a high-speed blender, smoothies can be hard to blend. If needed, stop the blender, mix with a spoon (and add more liquid if needed), then continue blending.
