Peel the orange and lemon. Wash the ginger and slice into 4-6 pieces. Add lemon, orange, and ginger to your blender.
Add ground turmeric, black pepper, and filtered water to the blender. Blend until there are no large pieces of ginger and everything is blended together.
Strain mixture into a large bowl using a fine strainer. Use a rubber spatula to push all the liquid out of the solids.
Pour the strained liquid into your storage container. Refrigerate and enjoy the turmeric ginger shots as desired. (Shake before pouring/enjoying).
Notes
The liquid will separate from the solids as it settles in your bottle over time. Shake before enjoying or pouring yourself a shot-sized amount.
I typically keep these in one larger jar and pour a shot-sized amount daily. However, if you have small containers, you can dose them out ahead of time.
If using fresh turmeric, use 2 inches of fresh turmeric.
The leftover solids from straining can be used in muffins, pancakes, etc. They can also just be thrown away or composted if you do not have a use for them.
