Add all the ingredients to the Creami container and stir well to combine. (You can also blend together if you prefer).
Freeze for at least 18 hours on a level surface in your freezer.
Process on the Light Ice Cream setting. If the ice cream is not soft enough, respin. If crumbly, add a splash of milk and respin.
Enjoy as is, or add a drizzle of caramel sauce and stroopwafel.
Notes
I like to run a little warm water along the outer edge for 30 seconds before processing. It allows the outer layer of the ice cream to thaw and get incorporated.
If you have leftovers, smooth out the top of the ice cream and return to the freezer. You may need to thaw or reprocess before enjoying again.
I like to use stroopwafel to serve as a garnish. You can also cut them into very small pieces and use as a mix-in instead.
As with any recipe using cottage cheese, if you don't want it to have a tangy flavor, make sure your cottage cheese is fresh and choose a brand that doesn't make tangy cottage cheese.
