Air fryer tortilla chips are easy to make with corn tortillas. These homemade tortilla chips are crispy and delicious.

The air fryer does such a great job of crisping things up and "frying" them, but with minimal oil. These homemade air fryer tortilla chips are no exception.

I've been making them as a quick and easy snack the last couple of weeks, and they are so easy! And all it takes is some corn tortillas, a tiny bit of oil or cooking spray, and then salt if you want them salted!

You can even customize them. I've tried out several different seasonings and spices, and I can't wait to try more! So fun to do once you've got the basic method down.

Ingredients

  • Corn tortillas
  • Olive oil, avocado oil, or cooking spray
  • Salt (optional)

How to make air fryer tortilla chips

Spray cooking spray onto both sides of 4 corn tortillas. Alternately, you could rub or brush the olive oil or avocado oil onto the surfaces if you prefer to use bottled oil instead of spray.

Stack the tortillas and cut into 6 triangles, as shown below. You should have 24 triangles in total.

If using salt or seasonings, spread out on a plate and add salt or seasonings.

Place in air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches). Air fry at 350 degrees for 6-7 minutes, or until crispy, shaking/flipping halfway through. Mine were perfect at the 7 minute mark, but you'll want to start checking at 6 minutes.
