Ninja Creami sleepy girl ice cream is a delicious treat made with tart cherry juice. It's inspired by the popular sleepy girl mocktail, but in ice cream form!
Have you tried the sleepy girl mocktail? It's supposed to promote sleep thanks to the tart cherry juice and magnesium powder. I have no idea if it actually works, but I've had it many times and I can at least confirm it tastes delicious.
There is just something about the tart cherry juice that reminds me of a delicious cherry pie. And I love it. But this recipe isn't for cherry pie, it's for ice cream!
I know many people love eating ice cream as a little bedtime treat, so I decided to combine elements of the sleepy girl mocktail to create a Ninja Creami sleepy girl ice cream. The results were so good. Definitely a delicious treat whether you enjoy it right before bed or for an afternoon snack.
Ingredients
- Tart cherry juice
- Milk (can use regular, almond, coconut milk, or your favorite)
- Vanilla pudding mix
- Magnesium powder (optional)
How to make sleepy girl ice cream in your Ninja Creami
Add all ingredients to your Ninja Creami container and stir to combine. Freeze for at least 24 hours.
Process your sleepy girl ice cream on lite ice cream mode. Scoop out and enjoy, or just eat straight out of your Creami container!
Recipe tips
- If your ice cream is powdery or not scoopable after the first processing, respin or add a splash of milk and respin. You can also respin if you want a softer ice cream.
- You can customize this if you like! Want to add a squeeze of lime juice? Feel free to add before freezing.
- Due to the sweetness of the cherry juice and pudding mix, I did not add any additional sugar to this recipe.
