Air fryer honey dijon salmon is quick and easy to make for a healthy lunch or dinner. It takes less than 10 minutes to cook, and is flavorful and delicious!

I absolutely love cooking salmon in the air fryer. From this air fryer teriyaki salmon to this honey garlic salmon, they've all been delicious. And now I have this honey mustard dijon salmon that I love making too!
Why cook salmon in the air fryer:
- Salmon in the air fryer cooks up quicker than in the oven.
- The salmon cooks perfectly and the inside stays flaky.
- Doesn't require heating up a big oven during those summer months, so it keeps your house cooler and saves energy!
Cooking tips:
- All air fryers cook differently, and salmon comes in different thickness, so check your salmon with a meat thermometer. Salmon should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F for complete safety and well-done or 135 degrees F for more of a medium-rare.
- Save a little of the honey dijon sauce for drizzling on the salmon afterwards for a boost of extra flavor.
How to customize:
- If you don't have dijon mustard, you can use stone-ground mustard.
- Mix some fresh chopped dill into the honey mustard sauce or top the salmon with fresh dill.
- For a little more brightness, add ½ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the glaze.
- Add a little sriracha or sweet chili sauce to the glaze for a touch of spice.
How to make:
First, take your olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, and salt and put into a small bowl. Stir to combine.
Pat the salmon dry and remove any bones if needed. You can leave the skin on or off for this recipe.
Spoon the honey mustard sauce over the salmon. If you have leftovers, you might save it to drizzle over the salmon after it cooks for additional flavor (optional).
Place the salmon in the air fryer basket, skin side down (if you left the skin on) and cook on 400 degrees F for 6-8 minutes (may take longer if your salmon is thicker).
Remove, and serve topped with fresh or dried parsley and lemon for squeezing.
What to serve with the salmon:
- Roasted asparagus with tomatoes
- Air fryer roasted tomatoes
- Peri-peri rice
- Air fryer squash
- Crispy french fries
- Air fryer delicata squash
