Having a delicious vanilla base recipe is a great starting point for any Ninja Creami recipe! Once you have some bases perfected, it allows you to experiment with different flavors and mix-ins.
I wanted to type up this post with some of my favorite base recipes. I'm including information on when you may want to use each and also some key things to know so you can make the most delicious ice creams.
Classic Ninja Creami Vanilla Base
- This one is relatively easy to make.
- This is the classic vanilla base that uses cream cheese to give that perfect texture.
- This one does not include extra protein, so if you want to use this as your base recipe but also have protein, you may want to use protein powder or a protein shake.

Ninja Creami Cottage Cheese Base
- This is a delicious base recipe to use when you want creaminess and protein in your Ninja Creami ice cream.
- I like using cottage cheese to make high protein ice creams without powders or shakes.
- You usually don't need to blend the cottage cheese before freezing, but you can.
- If using cottage cheese, make sure you choose a low-acid/low-tang brand (and make sure it's fresh), otherwise your ice cream will have a tangy flavor. For some ice creams, this doesn't make a big difference, but with some ice cream flavors you definitely don't want the slight sourness cottage cheese can have.

Ninja Creami Ricotta Base
- This is my go-to when I want a high-protein base without worrying about the slight sour flavors that some cottage cheese brands can have.
- Ricotta has a fairly neutral flavor, so it lets the other flavors shine through when adding fruit or other flavorings.
- Ricotta is high protein, so this makes for a great high-protein Ninja Creami base.
- You don't need to blend the ricotta before freezing, just make sure it's properly mixed in with the other ingredients.

Ninja Creami Frozen Yogurt Base
- Yogurt makes a delicious high-protein base.
- You can use Greek yogurt or plain yogurt, just know that Greek yogurt is typically a little more tangy.
- A plain, unsweetened yogurt is best to use so you can experiment and add other flavors and mix-ins.

Ninja Creami Honey Base
- This honey ice cream base uses honey as its sweetener.
- This ice cream is made with eggs and a custard base, so it does take a little more effort than the other bases, but it's well worth it if you have the time.

Ninja Creami Sweetened Condensed Milk Base
- This is a delicious base to use when you don't want to add any sugar, since sweetened condensed milk is already sweet.
- This is one that works great with flavors like lemon, strawberry, or chocolate.
- This one does not add extra protein, so if you're trying to make a high protein Ninja Creami, you would want to add protein powder.

I hope this was helpful and gives you a starting point for making Ninja Creami recipes!
