Ninja Creami ricotta ice cream is perfectly smooth and creamy. It makes a high protein Ninja Creami ice cream that can be enjoyed on its own or used as a base for mix-ins or other flavors.
This Ninja Creami ricotta ice cream is a delicious vanilla ice cream. However, it also makes the perfect high protein vanilla base if you're looking for a good protein base recipe that doesn't use protein powders or shakes.
The ricotta cheese gives the ice cream a wonderful texture and protein. And ricotta has a neutral flavor, so it just adds creaminess and protein and lets the other flavors in the ice cream shine through.
Ingredients
- Ricotta cheese
- Milk
- Sugar
- Vanilla extract
How to make Ninja Creami ricotta ice cream
Add all ingredients to the Ninja Creami container and stir to combine. (Alternately, you can blend and then pour into your Ninja Creami container if you want).

Freeze on a level surface in your freezer for at least 18 hours.

Your frozen ice cream may look like this. It will be a little bumpy from the ricotta, but don't worry.

Just process on the Ice Cream setting. If needed, add a splash of milk and respin until it reaches your desired consistency. Enjoy!

Recipe tips
- Sometimes I run a little warm water along the outside of the container for 30 seconds to thaw.
- If ice cream gets too soft, simply return to the freezer for 15 minutes (or more) to harden up.
- If you are using a really sweet mix-in or other very sweet ingredients, you may want to reduce the sugar to ¼ cup.
- If you have leftovers, smooth out the top and return to the freezer.
