What to know before air frying brussels sprouts
- Soaking the brussels sprouts in hot water for 10 minutes will allow the centers to become more tender when air frying, otherwise the interior stems will be harder.
- Drying the brussels sprouts after soaking will allow the oil and seasonings to stick to the brussels sprouts, otherwise they may not roast properly.
- If you have larger brussels sprouts, slice into quarters instead of halves.

- Cook time may depend on your air fryer and size of your brussels sprouts.
How to make air fryer brussels sprouts
Slice the brussels sprouts in half (if you have larger ones, slice into quarters), and add to a large bowl.

Add enough boiling water to the bowl to cover the sprouts. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
While air fryer preheats, drain the brussels sprouts, then pat dry. Also wipe out the bowl to dry it. Add the brussels sprouts back to the bowl, then season with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir to coat.

Add to the air fryer basket and cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking several times during cooking. Test for doneness and air fry an additional 1-3 minutes if needed.
