Air fryer spicy green beans have a delicious spicy kick! These green beans cook up in less than 10 minutes for an easy side dish.

Spicy green beans on a white plate

I always love how quickly green beans cook in the air fryer. They get perfectly roasted. But I always love to put a spin on them, depending on what I'm serving them with.

And when I crave some spice, I make these air fried spicy green beans. They have the addition of red pepper flakes for a nice bit of spiciness added to the dish! Because of the spiciness, it helps me drink a lot of water too! A win-win. I have delicious green beans and I stay hydrated.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Ingredients

  • Green beans
  • Olive oil
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt

How to make air fryer spicy green beans

Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes at 380 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.

Oil and seasonings mixed together

In a large bowl, add the green beans. Pour the olive oil mixture over the green beans and stir to coat all the green beans in the mixture.

Green beans should be perfectly roasted.

Plate as desired. I like serving with a little fresh lemon to add some nice brightness to the green beans.

Recipe tips

  • All air fryers cook differently. Adjust cooking times as needed.
  • These green beans are very spicy. If you are sensitive to spice, or serving to someone who is, use half the amount of red pepper flakes.

What to serve with the spicy green beans

These spicy green beans pair well with sesame rice, air fryer chicken bites, or air fryer salmon bites.
