This chocolate peanut butter Ninja Creami is the perfect summer dessert. The homemade ice cream uses chocolate and peanut butter powder to give this Creami recipe a delicious flavor.
Chocolate and peanut butter are a match made in heaven. And I absolutely love the combination. So I knew I wanted to make a chocolate peanut butter Creami recipe.
And wow. Just wow. This is my new favorite.
I love how the cocoa powder and peanut butter powder give the ice cream so much delicious flavor. It doesn't even need a mix-in or topping, but I still love adding one! I added Butterfingers, but there are a lot more ideas at the bottom of the post, if you're wanting something different.
Ingredients
- Milk
- Heavy cream
- Cream cheese
- Sugar
- Peanut butter powder
- Cocoa powder
- Vanilla extract
- Mix-ins or toppings (optional)
How to make the chocolate peanut butter Ninja Creami
Add cream cheese to a large, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 10 seconds to soften the cream cheese. Then add sugar, cocoa powder, peanut butter powder, and vanilla extract.
Stir together with a spatula, until mostly combined, as shown below. Mixture may be crumbly, that's okay.
Add milk and heavy cream and whisk together until combined.
Place in your Ninja Creami pint container. Freeze for at least 24 hours.
Then, remove the pint container from the freezer. Don't worry if it seems like your ice cream has separated into layers. It will get more mixed together when you process it.
Process on the ice cream setting. If needed, add a splash of milk and respin.
If you want to add a mix-in, Create a hole in the middle of the ice cream and add the mix in. (I did 3 mini Butterfingers cut in half). Enjoy!
Mix-in/topping ideas
- 3-4 mini Butterfingers (cut in half if using as a mix-in), chopped more finely if using as a topping
- Mini chocolate chips (as a mix-in or topping)
- Sliced Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (as a topping, not mix-in)
- Reese's Pieces (as a mix-in or topping)
- Chocolate bar, broken into pieces (as a mix-in or topping)
Recipe tips
- If you decide to use a different vanilla base, just make sure to add the cocoa powder and peanut butter powder to give it the peanut butter chocolate flavor and mix in before freezing.
What to do with leftovers
If you have leftovers of your chocolate peanut butter Creami, smooth out the top into a flat surface and place back in the freezer. To enjoy again, simply scoop out (if scoopable) or reprocess on the ice cream setting to make it softer and creamier.
