Ninja Creami butterscotch ice cream is the perfect ice cream recipe for any butterscotch lovers out there. It's creamy and delicious as is, but easy to get creative with toppings and mix-ins!

Ninja Creami butterscotch ice cream this recipe

Butterscotch is one of my favorite flavors. I can't believe it's taken me this long to make a butterscotch Ninja Creami. But this one is gooooood. Worth the wait.

And it's high protein thanks to the ricotta! If you don't have ricotta, you can absolutely use cottage cheese instead (I've done it several times), but make sure to get a low-acid cottage cheese, otherwise your ice cream will have a tangy flavor. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Ricotta
  • Milk
  • Butterscotch pudding mix
  • Maple syrup
  • Vanilla extract

How to make Ninja Creami butterscotch ice cream

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into Ninja Creami container. Freeze on a level surface for at least 24 hours.

Process on the light ice cream setting. If needed, add a splash of milk and respin. You may need to respin several times, but it will depend on your freezer, how much milk you add, and your desired consistency.

Recipe tips

  • If you want your Ninja Creami less sweet, only use one tablespoon of maple syrup instead of two.
  • You can use cottage cheese instead of ricotta, but make sure to get a low-acid cottage cheese, otherwise your ice cream may be tangy.
  • If you have leftovers, smooth out the top and return to the freezer.
  • This butterscotch ice cream would be delicious chopped with butterscotch chips or crushed butterfingers.
