The other day I made three new Ninja Creami recipes. Out of the three, this peppermint bark Ninja Creami ice cream was my daughter's favorite by far. She loves chocolate and peppermint, so this was right up her alley.

This recipe has cottage cheese for a protein-rich version of ice cream, but don't be scared to try this even if you don't like cottage cheese. It just blends up and makes the ice cream super creamy and you don't even know it's there!

The chocolate peppermint Ninja Creami so easy to make with simple ingredients. And you can top with white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or all of them! Easy for each person to customize for what they like.

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese
  • Milk
  • Cocoa powder
  • Sugar
  • Peppermint extract
  • Toppings - white chocolate, milk/dark chocolate, crushed candy canes

How to make Ninja Creami chocolate peppermint ice cream

Add all the ice cream ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. (Don't blend in the topping ingredients, of course).

Ice cream ingredients in blender

Pour into your Ninja Creami container.

Blended unfrozen ice cream

Freeze for at least 18 hours.

Frozen ice cream

Process on the ice cream setting. If needed, add a splash of milk and respin once or twice until ice cream reaches your desired level of texture. (I respun this one twice).

Recipe tips

  • Run a little warm or hot water along the outside of your Creami container before processing. This will allow the outer layer to thaw a bit.
  • If you have leftovers, smooth out the top and return to the freezer. You will likely need to reprocess or leave on your counter for a bit to thaw before scooping out and enjoying again.
  • Get creative! While this makes an excellent peppermint bark ice cream, you can top your ice cream however you want or just enjoy without toppings for a delicious chocolate peppermint ice cream.
