Ninja Creami cranberry ice cream is full of that holiday flavor. This recipe uses fresh cranberries and has a bright, festive color!

Ninja Creami cranberry ice cream this recipe

Once the holiday season hits, I am here for all the holiday flavors. Cinnamon? Eggnog? Cranberry? Yes, please. So this Ninja Creami cranberry ice cream is the perfect thing to enoy.

While it's not quite as easy to make as some Creami ice creams (since you have to cook the cranberries on the stove), it's well worth it to have that fresh, bright cranberry flavor.

And honestly, it only take a few minutes to soften the cranberries. It's pretty easy to do. And I've given you step by step photos below of each step of the process, so you know what it should look like! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Cranberries
  • Orange
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla instant pudding mix
  • Milk
  • Heavy cream

How to make Ninja Creami cranberry ice cream

Add cranberries, sugar, and juice from half an orange to a pot. Place on the stove.

Cranberries, orange, and sugar in a pot.

Heat over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until cranberries are soft and they start popping. You'll hear them start popping! That's usually a good indicator they have softened.

Uncooked cranberries in a pot.

Turn off the heat. Cranberries should look like this! Softened and gooey.

Cooked cranberries

Add to a blender with milk and vanilla instant pudding mix. Blend, then add heavy cream and blend for another 5 seconds to incorporate the cream.

Cranberry and milk in the blender.

Add to the Ninja Creami container. Place in the freezer on a level surface for at least 24 hours to freeze and harden.

Cranberry mixture in Ninja Creami container

Ninja Creami cranberry ice cream should look like this! Run hot water along the outer edge for 30 seconds. (Don't let any get into the ice cream, so you may want to leave the lid closed). This will help thaw the outer layer and let everything get incorporated into the ice cream when mixing.

Frozen cranberry ice cream

Process on the ice cream setting. Ice cream may look like below! All I did was smooth it out with a spoon and it was perfect. However, if your ice cream looks crumbly or powdery, add a splash of milk and respin.

Enjoy!

Recipe tips

  • I prefer to run hot water on the ouside of the Ninja Creami before processing to thaw the outer layer, but if you like, you can leave the container out for 15 minutes before processing to thaw.
  • If your ice cream looks powdery after processing, add a splash of milk and respin.
  • If you have leftovers, smooth out the top of the ice cream to make level again and return to the freezer. You may need to reprocess before enjoying again.

Ideas for mix-ins

The cranberry ice cream is delicious as is! However, if you want to add some more texture or flavor, here are some ideas.

  • Add white chocolate chips
  • Add some chopped fresh cranberries for extra tartness/texture
  • Add some chopped candy canes for a cranberry peppermint flavor
