An orange cinnamon mocktail is the perfect non alcoholic drink for fall! This recipe is full of autumn flavors and so easy to make. This non alcoholic mocktail is perfect for anyone who loves cinnamon.

orange cinnamon mocktail

This recipe really just makes me want to drink this cinnamon mocktail all year long, even though it's full of fall flavors. The non alcoholic cinnamon orange mocktail is easy to make. Just pour the ingredients into a glass and stir. My kind of mocktail.

Mocktails really are so fantastic. And I like ones that don't really make me miss the alcohol. This is one of these. The cinnamon and orange just pair so well together. It's a wonderful virgin cocktail for those that are pregnant, breastfeeding, or simply don't want to drink. (Or kids that want a fancy "cocktail").

So if you're having a holiday party or hosting Thanksgiving or Christmas, this is a great drink to serve for those that want a non alcoholic fall or winter drink.

Ingredients:

  • Cinnamon simple syrup
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Sparkling water
  • Ice

What is cinnamon simple syrup?

Cinnamon simple syrup is a combination of cinnamon, sugar, and water. It's heated on the stove so that the sugar dissolves and takes on the cinnamon flavor. It's delicious to use in cocktails, mocktails, and coffee drinks.

You can make it with ground cinnamon or cinnamon sticks. This recipe gives options for both.

How to get freshly squeezed orange juice:

This recipe calls for freshly squeezed orange juice. That means juice straight from the orange. So buy yourself an orange or two for this nonalcoholic orange cinnamon mocktail!

To juice the orange, you can use a juicer like this, which may get you a little more juice. However, I typically just use my citrus juicer that I use to juice lemons and limes. This is the one I have. In a pinch, you know, just squeeze with your hands!

What type of glass to serve in:

This fall cinnamon mocktail recipe is made for a lowball glass. That's your typical small drinking glass.

If you want to serve it in a larger glass, called a highball glass, you'll want to double the recipe. That way the sparkling water doesn't dilute the cinnamon syrup and orange.

What if you want to make it boozy?

The cinnamon orange non alcoholic drink is delicious as is! However, if you want to add a little alcohol, I'd recommend a splash of whisky or tequila. Both pair nicely with the cinnamon and orange flavors.

How to make the orange cinnamon mocktail:

First, make the cinnamon simple syrup if you haven't already! Once you have that, you're ready to go.

Take a lowball glass and fill it ¾ with ice.

Grab your orange and juice it so that you get an ounce of juice. (By the way, one ounce equals two tablespoons). Add the juice to the glass.

Measure out ½ ounce (1 tablespoon) of cinnamon simple syrup and add to the glass.

Top with sparkling water. Stir with a spoon to combine. Garnish with an orange wedge if desired!
