Protein matcha Ninja Creami is easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. This Ninja Creami matcha ice cream comes out so creamy and full of matcha flavor.

My 5 year old son has been asking me to make this ice cream for months. I guess he loves matcha? He gets it from his mama, because I love matcha too.
This Ninja Creami matcha ice cream is a high protein version! It gets a nice amount of protein from using cottage cheese. This gives the ice cream a delicious creamy texture when blended, and lets the matcha flavor shine.
If you're a matcha-lover, I hope you enjoy this protein matcha Creami as much as my son and I do!
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese
- Milk
- Sugar
- Matcha powder
How to make protein matcha Ninja Creami
Add all the ingredients to the Ninja Creami container. No need to blend before adding!
Stir together with a spoon or fork until incorporated together. It should look something like the photo below.
Freeze for at least 24 hours on a level surface in the freezer. When you remove it, it may look something like this! I always feel like it looks like a fun science experiment.
Run a little warm water along the edge of the container to unfreeze the very edge. This will help the ice cream process better. Process your matcha ice cream on the Ice Cream setting on your Ninja Creami. If it's crumbly (mine usually is), add a splash of milk and respin.
Scoop out and enjoy!
Recipe notes
- I used 2 teaspoons of matcha in this recipe. I think it gives the ice cream a nice matcha flavor without being overpowering. I've tried it with a full Tablespoon, and while it's still delicious, it may be too much matcha flavor for some people.
- To store leftovers, simply level out the top with a spoon and then place back in the freezer. You will likely need to reprocess before enjoying again.
- If you want extra protein, you can always add a scoop of protein powder, but I love that this recipe has protein even without adding protein powder.
