This air fryer baklava croissant is easy to make and ready in less than 10 minutes. The baklava croissant is flaky and full of those baklava flavors.
A few months ago, I saw Lindsay from Pinch of Yum make a little baklava treat on her Instagram stories. And I thought... I want to do something like that in my air fryer!
I had a giant package of bakery croissants on my counter, so I decided to give the croissants a makeover and make an air fryer baklava croissant!
It's flaky, buttery, and it's got those baklava vibes with pistachios, walnuts, and honey. If you don't have an air fryer, just check out the recipe card at the bottom of this post where I have oven instructions too.
Ingredients
- Bakery croissant
- Pistachios
- Walnuts
- Honey
- Pinch of salt
How to make an air fryer baklava croissant
Measure out your pistachios and walnuts and put on a cutting board.
Roughly chop, then put in a bowl.
Add honey and a pinch of salt and mix together.
Slice a croissant in half.
Spread the pistachio honey walnut mixture onto the croissant halves.
Place in the air fryer.
Air fry until lightly toasted.
Plate and drizzle with more honey.
Recipe tips
- All air fryers cook differently. Make sure to check frequently for doneness to make sure your croissant and nuts don't burn.
- For an even more decadent balkava croissant, you can add a tablespoon of melted butter to the honey and nuts before adding to the croissant halves.
- You can experiment with other breads too! English muffins or thick rustic bread would also be delicious.
