You know those days when you want a quick and easy dessert? Something that is homemade but doesn't take forever?
Enter this apple cobbler made in the air fryer. It's quick and easy. Even better? It's made in individual-sized servings, so you can easily just make a couple at a time. Or more. Up to you!
I love it because the cobbler topping almost reminds me of apple pie. But this air fryer apple cobbler is much easier to make. Especially when cooked in the air fryer.
Ingredients
- Apples
- Butter
- Brown sugar
- Granulated sugar
- Flour
- Cinnamon
- Baking powder
- Vanilla extract
How to customize
Want a more cinnamon flavor? Add more cinnamon. You can also add other spices like apple pie spice or nutmeg.
Also, instead of apples, you can always use a different fruit like cherry, blackberry, or air fryer peach cobbler. If I make something like cherry or peach cobbler, I love using a little almond extract in addition to the vanilla extract.
How to serve the air fried apple cobbler
While my favorite way to serve the apple cobbler is with a scoop of vanilla ice cream as it gets all melty and delicious, sometimes I will serve it with a drizzle of caramel sauce or with cinnamon whipped cream.
Recipe notes
- You can peel the apples or leave them unpeeled. It's up to you and how you want your apples. Most people will probably prefer to peel them.
- Watch carefully after adding the cobbler topping. You want it nicely browned, but not burned.

FAQs
What type of apples should I use to make apple cobbler?
You can honestly use whatever kind you like. There are people that say granny smith are the best or honeycrisp, or other flavors. I do think those are delicious, but I typically use gala apples as that's what I have at my home.
Do I need to peel my apples?
It's up to you! Most people will probably choose to peel their apples, but it's a matter of preference.
How do I store leftovers?
You can cover the ramekins with foil and store in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
How do I reheat leftovers?
Many ramekins may be okay going straight from the refrigerator to oven or air fryer for reheating, but to be safe, you may want to let the ramekin warm up slightly before reheating.
You can either reheat air fried apple cobbler in the oven or in the air fryer. Reheat on a low heat to ensure even cooking and that the center warms up without browning the top.
