This creamy green smoothie bowl is naturally sweet, delicious, and easy to make. It's got spinach and avocado to pack in healthy nutrients, while getting the sweetness from pineapple and banana. The pineapple also gives it tropical vibes!

Creamy Green Smoothie Bowl topped with strawberries and bananas

I love smoothies and smoothie bowls. And this creamy green smoothie bowl is one of my favorites.

This green smoothie bowl is packed with healthy fruits and veggies! It has a lot of baby spinach, which gives the smoothie its bright green flavor.

The creaminess comes from the avocado. And the pineapple and banana turn this into a bit of a tropical smoothie bowl, which I especially love during the summer.

And then you can top the creamy green smoothie bowl with whatever you want! That's one of the beauties of smoothie bowls. Easy to customize however you wish and use fresh fruit that is in season (or frozen fruit that you love)!

I love making smoothie bowls for breakfast, because it makes me feel good for the rest of the day. And unlike regular smoothies, you can easily top smoothie bowls with fruits, nuts, etc. so it has a nice texture.

Ingredients

  • Baby spinach - This gives the smoothie it's green flavor and is packed with good vitamins!
  • Avocado - The avocado makes the smoothie bowl super-creamy and delicious.
  • Banana - The banana also helps add creaminess to the smoothie, and gives it a healthy dose of potassium! Use half the banana in the smoothie and the other half for slices on top.
  • Pineapple - This helps give the smoothie a sweet, slightly tropical flavor.
  • Milk - I typically use almond milk in my smoothies, but use whatever you have on hand!

Toppings ideas:

Here's the combination of toppings I used:

  • Sliced strawberries, sliced banana, dried goji berries, hemp seeds, shredded coconut

Here are some more ideas:

  • Sliced banana, shredded coconut, dried pineapple
  • Fresh raspberries, sliced almonds, hemp seeds
  • Fresh blueberries, fresh raspberries, sliced almonds
  • Frozen berries and chia seeds

Equipment:

Use whatever blender you have, but I love love love my Blendtec. If you love smoothies (and frozen cocktails), I highly recommend getting something like a Blendtec or Vitamix. It blends things SO much better than a cheap blender.

Recipe tips:

  • Have your toppings prepared before you blend the smoothie bowl. This way you can add the toppings to the creamy green smoothie bowl right after you make it.
  • For your toppings, think about if you want any texture! I love a variety of textures, so I always try to add something that has a bit of a bite or crunch to it like sliced almonds, hemp seeds, or granola.

How to make:

First, measure out your ingredients and add to your blender.
