Ninja CRISPi chicken thighs cook up perfectly in the air fryer. The chicken skin gets super crispy and then inside gets juicy and delicious. An easy recipe for air fryer chicken thighs.

I love my Ninja CRISPi. It's such an easy way to take a peek at food while it's cooking to make sure it's cooking nicely and not burning or anything. It's also super fun and easy to clean up.

I recently made these Ninja CRISPi chicken thighs for a quick lunch, and it was so easy. While there is a touch of marinating time, it's mostly a hands-off recipe that just requires a few minutes or prep time. Then the chicken marinates, you put it in the air fryer, and it cooks while you do other stuff.

This Ninja CRISPi recipe makes crispy chicken skin that is so perfect while the chicken is just super juicy. The marinade makes for a flavorful chicken. Definitely a favorite of mine.

Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • Olive oil
  • Lemon
  • Smoked paprika
  • Dried oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to make Ninja CRISPi chicken thighs

In a bowl or ziplock bag add the juice from half a lemon, olive oil, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir or gently shake to combine. Add the chicken and coat in the marinade. Let marinate for 30 minutes.

Recipe tips

  • Chicken should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F to be safe to eat. Use a meat thermometer to check if chicken is done. (Chicken thighs can be cooked to 175-185 degrees as an internal temperature and still be juicy and delicious).
  • This recipe is for medium chicken thighs. If you have larger chicken thighs, you may need to cook for longer for chicken to reach a safe internal temperature. Also, if your chicken thighs are large, start skin side down for 10 minutes, then flip to be skin side up for the rest of the cook time. This will keep the skin from burning.
  • This recipe uses the Ninja CRISPi air fryer mode. If using a regular air fryer, set it at 400 degrees F/200 degrees C to cook.
  • I love this combination of seasonings, but you can absolutely mix it up with different flavors and seasonings! Get creative.
