Ninja Creami cranberry sorbet is full of holiday flavors. The cranberry sorbet only uses 4 ingredients and scoops out perfectly for a delicious holiday dessert. Enjoy on its own, or serve in a glass with sparkling water for a fancy dessert.
Are you leaning into the holiday spirit? Or maybe you just bought too many bags of cranberries? This cranberry sorbet recipe is for you!
My husband said it tastes like cranberry sauce in sorbet form. And he's right. It's the perfect balance of the tartness of cranberries, the sweetness of sugar, and that touch of freshly squeezed orange to balance everything out.
This recipe is worth buying extra bags of cranberries for. Make it for Thanksgiving, make it for Christmas. Use frozen cranberries and make it year round! I may have to keep a bag or two of this in my freezer so I can enjoy during the summer months too!
Ingredients
- Cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- Orange
- Sugar
- Water
How to make Ninja Creami cranberry sorbet
Add the cranberries, sugar, and juice from one orange to a medium pot.

Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, for around 5 minutes until cranberries soften and start "popping." (This may take shorter or longer, depending on your stove and if the cranberries were fresh or frozen).

Let cranberries cool for about 10 minutes, then place in a blender with water. Blend until smooth.

Pour into your Ninja Creami container (making sure not to go above the Max Fill line). Place the lid on the container and freeze on a level surface for at least 18-24 hours.

After freezing, remove the lid and run warm water along the outer edge for 30 seconds to thaw the outer layer. Process on the sorbet setting in your Ninja Creami appliance.

Cranberry sorbet should look like this after processing!

Scoop out and enjoy!

Recipe tips
- I recommend running a little water along the outer edge of the container before processing. This will allow the outer part to thaw and spin properly. Otherwise, the outer layer may remain frozen.
- I have never had to respin the cranberry sorbet. However, depending on your freezer temperature, you may need a respin.
