Ninja air fryer salmon makes such a quick weeknight dinner. It's marinated and then air fried to give a delicious flavor. The air fryer cooks the salmon perfectly.
I love my Ninja air fryer. And the thing I probably make in it the most is this Ninja air fryer salmon. I marinate the salmon to give it a delicious flavor and then air fry it.
This is one of my go-to recipes because my kids eat it too. It's always a win when I know I can make a meal everyone enjoys. The recipe for this air fryer salmon serves two, so when I'm making it for the family, I simply double it!
Ingredients
- Salmon fillets
- Soy sauce
- Lime
- Maple syrup or honey
- Garlic powder
How to make Ninja air fryer salmon
In a shallow bowl, combine the soy sauce, juice of a lime, garlic powder, and maple syrup. Stir to combine.

Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then add to the marinade. Marinate for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavor to soak into the salmon.

Preheat your Ninja air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Add the salmon, skin side down.

Cook for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees F.

Plate and enjoy!

Recipe tips
- The cook time for your salmon may depend on how much you like it done. For softer salmon, cook for 8 minutes. For firmer salmon, cook for 10 minutes.
- If you want, set aside a little of the marinade before adding the salmon. Use this as a sauce for the salmon that you can pour on the salmon in the last 2 minutes of cooking (or simply drizzle some on the salmon after cooking).
- Top with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
- While I use my Ninja air fryer for this salmon, it will work in most air fryers.
Variations
- Instead of marinating in the soy glaze, you can simply drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Add a squeeze of lemon before serving.
- Simply drizzle with olive oil, season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Top each salmon fillet with a little brown sugar and air fry.
