Air fryer maple dijon salmon combines the sweetness of maple syrup with the tang of dijon mustard for a delicious salmon dish. This air fryer maple salmon can be ready in less than 15 minutes for a quick and easy lunch or dinner.

While I'm not a huge dessert person (though I will make exceptions for really fantastic ones -- especially fruit or citrus-based), I love the delicious flavor that a touch of sweetness can bring to savory dishes.
A touch of honey here, a touch of brown sugar, or a touch of maple syrup. All of those can bring such a delicious flavor and enhance the flavor of food. And on salmon, I find that the touch of sweetness works especially well.
In this air fryer maple glazed salmon, the salmon is paired with a sweet and savory maple dijon sauce. I also like to sprinkle a little smoked paprika on the salmon to add a tiny bit of smoky flavor.
And then the whole thing cooks in 8-12 minutes in the air fryer, depending on the thickness of your salmon. So easy and quick!
Ingredients

- Dijon mustard
- Maple syrup
- Olive oil

- Salt and pepper
How to make air fryer maple dijon salmon
To a small bowl, add the dijon mustard, maple syrup, and olive oil.
Stir until completely combined.
Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Top the salmon with the maple dijon sauce.
Brush or spray air fryer basket with oil to prevent salmon from sticking.
Add salmon to the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 400 degrees F for 8-12 minutes, or until your salmon is cooked to your liking. The cook time will depend on your thickness of salmon.
Plate, and top with fresh herbs if desired.
Enjoy!
How to customize
While I prefer to use dijon mustard when making the maple salmon, you could opt for another type of mustard instead like stone ground.
I added some smoked paprika to the salmon before cooking, however you could leave it off or use dried herbs like tarragon, parsley, or oregano.
For a bit of heat, add some red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
What to serve with the maple salmon
The maple salmon is delicious served with so many different side dishes!
If wanting to serve with air fryer sides, I love making Air Fryer Mediterranean Vegetables, Air Fryer Broccolini, Air Fryer Smashed Potatoes, Air Fryer Leeks, or Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges.
If making a side dish not made in the air fryer, I like bang bang potatoes, sumac potatoes, Calabrian potatoes, roasted harissa carrots, or roasted asparagus with lemon zest.
Recipe notes
- All air fryers cook differently. Cooking times may vary based on your specific air fryer and then thickness of your salmon.
- I typically leave the skin on when cooking, and remove afterwards, as I find that easiest. Not necessary though if your salmon already doesn't have skin!
