Air fryer Old Bay salmon is ready in less than 15 minutes start to finish. This easy salmon recipe only uses 5 ingredients for an easy and delicious lunch or dinner.
I've been making salmon in my air fryer for years. And it's always been amazing. But a lot of people tell me they use Old Bay seasoning for their salmon, and I hadn't ever tried it. So last week, I bought some and I can definitely see why people love it.
The Old Bay seasoning blend adds such a delicious flavor to salmon. It pairs perfectly with seafood. However, one thing I learned is that the first ingredient on the list is celery salt. That means no extra salt is needed in making this salmon. And that's great, because less ingredients!
I hope you enjoy the Old Bay salmon as much as I do. It's easy to make and ready in less than 15 minutes start to finish. And only uses 5 ingredients! Easy, fast, and delicious. The perfect combination.
Ingredients
- Salmon fillet
- Old Bay seasoning
- Olive oil
- Pepper
- Lemon
How to make air fryer old bay salmon
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Prepare the salmon. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and remove any bones if needed. If your salmon has skin, remove it if you prefer. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon and rub into all sides of the salmon.
Season the salmon with pepper and then sprinkle Old Bay seasoning over the top. Rub onto the top of the salmon.
Air fry the salmon. Place the salmon in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Check for doneness. Salmon should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F.
Plate the salmon. I love topping with some fresh herbs. I also serve with fresh lemon juice. The lemon juice and Old Bay seasoning pair beautifully together and the lemon adds a touch of brightness.
I typically squeeze lemon juice on top of the salmon, and then top with lemon slices to make it feel fancy. Topping with the lemon slices is optional, of course!
Recipe tips
- All air fryers cook differently. Cook times may vary based on both your air fryer and the thickness of your salmon fillet.
- To give the salmon a slightly sweet flavor, sprinkle with brown sugar before air frying (it's delicious!)
- I don't typically use salt in this recipe, because Old Bay seasoning is salty on its own.
- I highly recommend serving with the fresh lemon juice. It add the perfect brightness to the salmon.
What to serve with the salmon
This salmon is delicious served with air fryer potato slices, air fryer baby potatoes, air fryer sweet potato wedges, or air fryer smashed potatoes.
It's also tasty with this arugula salad or air fryer parmesan broccoli.
