Air fryer parmesan broccoli gets cheesy and crispy in the air fryer! The air fried broccoli gets perfectly roasted and is so flavorful from the parmesan cheese. It's ready in less than 10 minutes for a tasty vegetable side dish.
I have to admit, I never made broccoli in the air fryer until recently. I love roasting it in the oven, but when I just want something quick and easy, I don't feel like cranking up my oven to 400 degrees F just to roast broccoli.
And then I heard person after person talking about how amazing broccoli is in the air fryer. And they are right!
My new favorite is tossing it with a bit of garlic powder and grated parmesan. The result is a crispy air fryer broccoli that is perfectly roasted and just amazing. So good. I hope you make it and love it too!
Ingredients
- Broccoli (medium head of broccoli or about 6oz florets)
- Olive oil
- Garlic powder
- Grated parmesan
- Salt
- Pepper
How to make air fryer parmesan broccoli
Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
If you have broccoli florets, add them to a large bowl. Or slice up your head of broccoli into florets. I like to make sure they aren't too big of florets so that they cook and roast up quickly.
Add olive oil to the bowl and toss to combine and coat the broccoli.
Next, add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese.
Toss all to combine again.
Add broccoli to the air fryer and cook at 390 degrees F for 6-8 minutes. Check at the 6 minute mark for doneness, but cook longer if needed. Sometimes mine are perfect at 6 minutes and sometimes they need an extra minute or two.
Broccoli should be slightly charred and browned in spots to have that perfectly roasted flavor.
Plate and serve as desired!
So good.
Recipe tips
- All air fryers cook differently. My air fryer usually roasts the broccoli up perfectly in about 6-7 minutes, but some air fryers make take longer.
- Cook time may also depend on the size of your broccoli florets. I cut mine into smaller florets so that they all cook a little more quickly.
- This recipe is easy to double!
- This recipe serves 2 as a side IF served with an additional side dish. If serving only one side dish, it will likely only serve 1 person.

The air fryer parmesan broccoli is so easy to customize. Want more parmesan? Add 3 or 4 tablespoons! Want extra parmesan at the end? Sprinkle some on!
