Strawberries and vanilla whipped cream is one of the best and easiest desserts! Pair fresh strawberries with lightly sweetened and pillowy whipped cream for a delicious dessert.

strawberries and whipped cream

Mmm... strawberries and whipped cream.

So, sometimes you want to go all out with a recipe. Something with multiple steps that really looks impressive.

And sometimes you've spent the day at work, driven home in an hour's worth of traffic, and just want something simple.

Enter this strawberries and whipped cream dessert. You'll feel like you're treating yourself with only a tiny bit of effort on your part.

It kinda helps if you love strawberries. But if you don't, hey, no problem. Grab that peach or those blueberries. Cause really, what fruit doesn't taste good with whipped cream?

Seriously. I want to know. If you can think of anything, leave it in the comments below.

Adding that tiny bit of vanilla to the cream when you're whipping it up just adds that perfect amount of subtle flavor. I bet if you want to mix things up, a little almond extract instead would be equally as delicious.

Ingredients

  • Strawberries
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla Extract

How to customize

Not a fan of strawberries? Swap them out with some peaches, blackberries, or blueberries.

Want to add something extra to your whipped cream? Add a tiny bit of almond extract or swap out the vanilla extract for a touch of lemon extract.

What to serve with the dessert

Well this is delicious on its own, for sure! But the strawberries also pair well on top of this croissant french toast, air fryer croissant french toast, or on this air fryer banana split.

Recipe tips

  • Watch the whipped cream carefully! You don't want to overwhip the cream.

How to make the strawberries and whipped cream

First, wash the strawberries if you haven't already!

Next, add the whipped cream, sugar, and vanilla to a bowl. Whisk and whip until soft peaks form, but not too firm. Definitely don't get to the butter stage! Watch that whipped cream carefully.

Add the whipped cream to a plate or bowl and serve with strawberries.
