Air fryer Old Bay cod is ready in only 15 minutes start to finish. This is an easy air fryer cod recipe that is full of flavor and only uses 5 ingredients.
I can see why people love Old Bay seasoning and fish together. The seasoning blend just pairs so nicely with seafood! Cod and the Old Bay are a match made in heaven.
Cod is such a flaky fish that doesn't have a strong flavor. The Old Bay seasoning gives the cod so much flavor and pairs beautifully with the fish. And when you cook it all in the air fryer? So easy.
I love that this meal can be made in only 15 minutes. Five minutes for prep. Five minutes for cooking. An easy seafood dish that pairs so nicely with roasted potatoes or other vegetables.
Ingredients
- Cod filet
- Olive oil
- Pepper
- Old Bay seasoning
- Dried parsley
How to make air fryer Old Bay cod
Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes. (I usually do this at 400 degrees F). Dry your cod filet with paper towels. Drizzle olive over the cod and rub into all surfaces including the top and bottom. Season with black pepper.
Top with Old Bay seasoning and dried parsley and rub into the cod.
Place cod into the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 380 degrees F for 8-10 minutes. Remove and enjoy! You can top with fresh parsley and serve with lemon if desired. I always love to serve this with some roasted potatoes on the side.
Recipe tips
- Cook times may depend on the thickness of your cod. Thinner cod filets will need less time, while thick cod filets may take up to 10 minutes. I recommend using a meat thermometer. Fish should be cooked to 145 degrees F.
- This cod is heavily seasoned with Old Bay seasoning and it does get a little spicy. If you are sensitive to spice, only use ¼ teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning on the cod.
- This recipe does not use extra salt due to the salt in the Old Bay seasoning.
- This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled, or quadrupled if serving multiple people.
What to serve with the cod
I love the combination of cod and potatoes. It's delicious with these crispy battered french fries, air fryer potato wedges, or air fryer sliced potatoes.
