Air Fryer Halloween Quesadillas are so easy and fun to make! These can be made in the shape of jack o'lanterns, ghosts, haunted houses, or whatever Halloween shapes you want. Making them in the air fryer is quick and easy and requires no flipping!
This is super cheesy (get it, CHEESY, haha), but I thought it would be cute to make a quesadilla in a pumpkin shape and with the jack o'lantern face.
This quesadilla is a fun Halloween food. It's one of those recipes that is so easy to make, and very family-friendly. I love quesadillas and my kids do too.
Make them in fun shapes? Even better!
Ingredients
- Flour tortillas - I used plain flour tortillas for this recipe.
- Slices of cheese - I used a yellow medium cheddar cheese, but you can use American cheese or another cheese! I do recommend using something with a yellow color for those pumpkin vibes.
Customization ideas
While I used plain flour tortillas, I know you can also get green tortillas that are spinach and herb flavored or orange tortillas that are chili flavored for tomato flavored.
I used cheddar slices, but you can use American cheese, or your favorite cheese. Just keep in mind how the cheese color will work with your tortilla color.
I made jack o'lanterns for my Halloween quesadilla, but you can just make pumpkin shapes, ghost shapes, witch shapes, or whatever you love!
How to serve
The Halloween quesadillas are delicious as is to just pick up and eat!
If you want, you can create stem tendrils by adding cilantro or parsley.
I love serving these with some black beans or refried beans. They are also delicious with some hot sauce, guacamole, or your favorite salsa.
Recipe tips
- You can either cut the quesadillas into shapes using a sharp knife (like I did), or if you're making smaller quesadillas, a cookie cutter works perfectly!
- Definitely use something to weigh down your top tortilla in the air fryer so it doesn't fly off! Something that is heat-safe for the air fryer. I used a rack from my Instant Pot.
- I didn't spray my quesadillas with cooking spray or brush them with oil. However, if you are wanting a crispier quesadilla, you can use oil.
Instructions
First, line up your tortillas so you can cut out your Halloween shapes.
You can also add your cheese in between your tortillas at this point, if you like.
Cut out your Halloween shape.
If making a jack o'lantern, take one of your tortillas and cut out the face.
Then, arrange your cheese so that all the surfaces are covered and the cheese will melt, covering the surface of the tortilla.
Place one half of the tortilla back onto the other one.
Place uncooked quesadilla in your air fryer basket.
Add something on top to weigh the top tortilla down to make sure it doesn't fly off while cooking! Note: I used a rack from my Instant Pot.
Air fry at 380 degrees F for 3-5 minutes, or until tortilla is done to your liking and cheese is melted.

I added cilantro "leaves" to add some greenery to my pumpkin. Enjoy!
